Touch The Heart Feel The Hurt Ministries
Poems by: Flo Rogers
Lyric poetry is the experiences and expressions of the poet's own feelings and impulses; in
gnomic poetry the poet desires to communicate knowledge to others.

"The Purpose of Faith"

Sometimes things are not how we like them
Nor the way we would desire.
But sitting, waiting for an answer,
The Great Physicians walking by.

With Faith arising in our minds,
of things we have not seen.
Hope and Faith say, It is alright
God's promise He will bring.

Faith, the substance of things hoped for;
The evidence of things not seen.
Through every trial and victory,
There is a purpose far supreme.

As God wills, in time, 'twill be;
Just as He planned, purposed for me.
Thus, I place my trust in Him,
To make things as He plans for me.

Some say age has great advantage,
But on that, I can't agree.
For faith is not from many years
But, in whom, we do believe.

Sometimes we may not get to see,
An answer to a prayer right then.
But as it pleases God,
That is when true faith steps in.

So lift your head, keep up a smile,
Spread the news He lives.
His faith rises, His faith sees,
How the Lord wants it to be.
Never doubt and never fear,
That only blocks God's way
So faith can't work, faith can't be
But faith will move, when we believe.

  God's Loving Light

In the midst of her darkness-
A treasure was found.
She was going through circumstances,
seemed there was no one around.
Oh but, a door came open,
Out of the darkness, she escaped,
Into God's Loving Light,
Where Mercy and Grace await.
